The Volcano Vaporizer: The German King of Vape

Despite its high price tag, the Volcano Vaporizer, by German manufacturers Storz & Bickel, dominates the market with good reason. Improved on since its release in 2000, the Volcano is the result of extensive research and development and sets the standard in engineering and craftsmanship for the industry.

Classic and Digital Models

The Volcano is available in classic and digital models. The classic model allows the user to set the heat level from 1 to 10 on a scale. The digital version allows the user to select an exact temperature on an electronic display. This higher level of accuracy comes at a price difference of $130 USD between the two models.

I upgraded to the digital model after using the classic model for more than three years and I am glad I did. I will write about the digital version in an upcoming post.

Consumers can choose from the solid valve or easy valve system. The classic valve costs more but will last forever with proper care while the easy valve system is less expensive but requires periodic replacement.

The Volcano Vaporizer is user friendly. Simply plug it into the wall outlet, set the desired temperature and wait for it to heat up. After the unit heats up, pour tobacco into the chamber and press the button. Vapor will immediately fill the Volcano bag. The valve automatically closes when the vaporizer is not in use, so no vapor is wasted.

Healthier Alternative to Smoking

Users consume less tobacco using the vaporizer than with smoking. I use 50 percent less since using the Volcano. Other less expensive vaporizers on the market are less efficient and effective.

The only downside, apart from the high price, is the unit has no way to cool the water. I prefer to have the vapor run through water to make it smoother.

The Volcano Vaporizer comes with a three-year warranty and Storz & Bickel provides excellent customer service.
